About Us

IPE Specialization

Welcome to Educational Policy Studies. Our department, one of five units in the Faculty of Education, offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses and programs. This is a multidisciplinary department excelling in developing and disseminating scholarship that explores educational policies and practices as they pertain to leadership, society, culture, and life-long learning.

There are 22 permanent and several sessional faculty involved in teaching and research and approximately 200 students from around the world are enrolled in our graduate programs. The students contribute to the academic and social life of the department and participate in its governance. They help sustain our department's culture of cooperation, support, and commitment to democracy as outlined in our vision and values statement.
